CloudNumber: a separate number for online use

Virtual phone numbers for receiving messages without sharing a personal number.

A phone number can become part of a public-facing business long before someone wants their personal number attached to it.

CloudNumber offers a separate virtual number. Its current public site describes voicemail, incoming SMS, notifications, and call forwarding, with links into the application for setup.

Make the next step clear

The number is only the starting point. Someone also needs to understand what happens when a message or a call arrives, and where to find it.

That is why the surrounding workflow matters: receiving a message, being notified, and knowing how to respond are all part of the experience. The public site introduces those capabilities individually rather than expecting the reader to already understand a virtual-phone system.

A separate number creates a boundary around a contact detail. It also creates another thing to manage, so the experience around incoming messages matters as much as getting the number in the first place.
