This is our latest WordPress development for CollectorMentor.com. We went for a magazine style layout and heavily customized the Hello theme from Templatic. We used our standard plugin library for SEO, Analytics, and more. Also – due to it’s heavy use of images and potential traffic load we went with the WP-Super Cache plugin (see last screenshot below) which dramatically increased our page load time.

I'm a freelance web developer and about a year ago I discovered the benefits of wordpress. Do you typically create new themes for clients or find good themes and customize them? I always do the latter but I wonder if it would save me time sometimes to just start from scratch. Sometimes a client will even give me a psd from a designer and I will find a theme that matches the general layout and customize to match the psd.
Templatic looks like it has some good themes. Do you just pay the annual subscription so you have access to all the themes?
