What is dmTweetup.org?
It’s a community website we create not only to be a directory of Twitter users in Des Moines, but also to capture and aggregate all the tweets by the users. It’s meant to be the hub of the community, with links to the wiki, flickr photos, and upcoming events. In this latest version we also added a twemes widget and a slideshow using Yahoo! Pipes.
Toolbox
dmtweetup.org was, as usual for us, built on top of WordPress. Yahoo Pipes is being used to pull in pictures of our tweetups. You can use the pipe here yourself. We used a relatively new WordPress theme out there – QuickPress. We are currently hosting this site at GoDaddy but are moving it over to Mosso shortly.
